Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
abtesting.cc is a small independent review site. We collect as little as we can get away with, we do not sell anything to anyone, and there is no advertising network running on these pages. This page explains exactly what is collected and why.
What we collect
If you subscribe to the newsletter
We collect your email address, and alongside it we record which page you subscribed from, the referring page, any UTM campaign parameters in the URL, and the time of signup. That context tells us which articles are actually useful; it is never used to build a profile of you.
Your address is stored in our own database, on our own infrastructure. We do not use a third-party newsletter platform, so your address is not handed to anyone else to process. It is used to send the newsletter and nothing else - we do not sell, rent, or share subscriber lists, and we never pass your address to any tool vendor reviewed on this site.
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@abtesting.cc and ask us to delete your record entirely; we will do it and confirm.
If you just read the site
We use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and see which articles get read. This tells us aggregate things - how many people read a comparison, which search terms bring them in - and is not used to identify you individually. We do not run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels.
Spam protection
The newsletter form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. Cloudflare processes some technical signals from your browser to make that determination. This exists to stop our list being flooded with fake addresses, which is what makes newsletters get marked as spam.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. The site stores two small preferences in your browser's local storage: your light/dark theme choice, and a flag recording that you have already dismissed the newsletter popup so we stop showing it. Both stay on your device and are never sent to us.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to tool vendors are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up. This never influences our ratings or rankings - see our editorial policy. Following one of those links means the destination site's own privacy policy applies to what happens next.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time. In practice the answer to "what do you hold about me" is almost always "an email address and the page you signed up from." Email hello@abtesting.cc and we will handle it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update the date at the top and, for anything material, say so in the newsletter.
