Reflag Pricing, Decoded - What the Former Bucket Costs in 2026
Reflag bills on Monthly Tracked Users and is built narrowly for B2B SaaS on TypeScript. Here's how the MTU model works, a worked estimate, and when LaunchDarkly or Statsig fits instead.
Published:
Reflag has some of the simplest pricing in the category - two published tiers and a custom one. But the price isn’t really the decision here. The decision is whether you’re the exact team Reflag is built for, because it’s a deliberately narrow tool, and paying anything for it only makes sense if your problem matches its one job.
Here’s the decode: the meter, a worked estimate, and when LaunchDarkly or Statsig is the better spend instead.
First, the name
Quick note so you’re pricing the right thing. Reflag is the tool that used to be called Bucket. It rebranded on 4 September 2025, and bucket.co now 301-redirects to reflag.com. Bucket started in 2021 as a feature-metrics and feedback product, pivoted into feature management in June 2024, then became Reflag. Same company, current name. If you find older “Bucket pricing” references, this is what replaced them.
What Reflag bills on
The quota unit is MTU - Monthly Tracked Users. Not seats - seats are unlimited on every tier. Not flags. You pay on how many end users across your customer accounts get tracked in a month.
| Plan | Price | MTUs | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $0 | 1,000 | 3 environments, unlimited seats, no credit card |
| Pro | $100/mo annual ($125 monthly) | 10,000 | Unlimited environments and seats, user permissions |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Migration support, SAML |
That’s the whole ladder - clean, published, no sales wall to see the numbers. Full detail is on the Reflag review.
How to estimate your bill
The math is short because there’s one meter:
- Count your Monthly Tracked Users. In B2B SaaS that’s the end users across all your customer accounts who are active in a month.
- Under 1,000? You’re free on Starter.
- Up to 10,000? Pro is $100/mo on annual billing (or $125 monthly), with unlimited environments and seats.
- Past 10,000? Add extra MTUs at around $120 to $150/mo per additional 25,000. So roughly 35,000 MTUs lands near $220 to $250/mo. Large or custom volumes move you to Enterprise.
- Need SAML or migration support? That’s Enterprise, custom-priced.
It scales by tracked users, not by team size, which fits a small product team that wants many stakeholders in the tool without a seat tax.
The real gotcha isn’t the price - it’s the scope
Here’s what to weigh honestly, because it matters more than any number. Reflag does one thing on purpose: feature flags and native entitlements for B2B SaaS on TypeScript. Its standout is per-account entitlements - you gate a feature at the company or subscription level and map it to a plan tier, so every account on that tier gets it automatically. That maps directly onto how SaaS packaging works, and general flag tools make you build it yourself.
But the narrow scope is a hard limit for everyone else. There’s no A/B experimentation at all. There’s no self-hosting and no open-source option. And the full multi-language SDK breadth isn’t even published - it’s TypeScript and JavaScript centric, so if your backend is Go or Python or your app is native mobile, the coverage may not be there.
Then there’s company risk. Reflag is small - around $3.7M raised - and it only rebranded from Bucket in September 2025. It has real customers, including GitBook, Pleo and Code Climate, which is a good signal for its size. But a multi-year roadmap bet on it carries more risk than an established vendor. Price Reflag as a focused bet, not a general-purpose platform - the $100/mo is only good value if the entitlements job is genuinely your job.
When a different tool is the better spend
If Reflag’s niche isn’t a clean fit, two tools cover the jobs it doesn’t:
- LaunchDarkly - if you need breadth, depth and a proven vendor. Where Reflag is narrow and tiny, LaunchDarkly is the deepest flag platform with around 38 SDKs and guarded releases. The trade is cost and model - it bills on client-side MAU on your highest-volume context kind, and doesn’t publish contract prices (Vendr’s buyer data puts the median near $72,000 a year). You’re paying far more for far more, and for longevity. Estimate it with our LaunchDarkly pricing calculator, or scan the field in LaunchDarkly alternatives.
- Statsig - if experimentation is the thing Reflag can’t do. Reflag has no A/B testing; Statsig leads with it, built by ex-Facebook engineers. And its billing is friendly for flags - flag and config checks are unlimited and free on every tier, with the meter on analytics events instead. The free Developer tier is generous and Pro is a flat $150/mo. The Statsig pricing decode has the model. The one asterisk is ownership: OpenAI acquired Statsig in September 2025.
The bottom line on Reflag pricing: it’s simple, transparent and fairly priced for what it is. The number to scrutinize isn’t the $100 - it’s whether you’re a B2B SaaS team on TypeScript that needs per-account entitlements. If you are, Reflag is a clean, cheap fit. If you’re not, the missing experimentation, thin SDK breadth and early-stage size make a broader or more specialized tool the better place to spend.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Reflag cost?
Reflag publishes its prices. Starter is $0 for 1,000 MTUs with 3 environments, unlimited seats and no credit card. Pro is $100/mo billed annually or $125/mo monthly, for 10,000 MTUs with unlimited environments and seats, plus user permissions and self-cleaning flags. Enterprise is custom with migration support and SAML. The quota unit is MTU - Monthly Tracked Users. Extra MTUs on Pro run around $120 to $150/mo per additional 25,000.
Is Reflag the same as Bucket?
Yes. Reflag is the tool that was called Bucket until 4 September 2025, and bucket.co now 301-redirects to reflag.com. Bucket started in 2021 as a feature-metrics and feedback product, pivoted into feature management in June 2024, then rebranded to Reflag. If you priced Bucket before, it's the same company under its current name.
What is an MTU in Reflag pricing?
MTU stands for Monthly Tracked User - the quota unit Reflag bills on. Starter covers 1,000, Pro covers 10,000, and extra MTUs on Pro cost around $120 to $150/mo per additional 25,000. Since Reflag is built for B2B SaaS, your MTU count is driven by how many end users across your customer accounts are tracked in a given month.
Does Reflag do A/B testing?
No. Reflag is not an experimentation platform. Its focus is feature flags, native per-account entitlements, feature adoption metrics and user feedback for B2B SaaS. If you need statistical A/B testing, Statsig or a similar tool is built for it, and Reflag isn't. That's a deliberate scoping choice, not a gap in the pricing.
